Milwaukee Wire Selects ECbridges For Its EDI Communications Solution
Pleasant Hill, California - 13 March, 2002 (PRN):ECbridges, Inc. a leading provider of outsourced EDI services announced that Milwaukee Wire, a top automotive supplier, has chosen ECbridges' Transaction Connect hosted EDI solution to manage the communications component of its business-to-business document exchange.
By electronically connecting Milwaukee Wire to its customers, Transaction Connect will enable them to reduce costs by eliminating expensive internal resources devoted to complex and troublesome communications management. ECbridges will allow Milwaukee Wire to electronically send and receive business documents to and from Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, and others.
"Transaction Connect will end up paying for itself," said John Shelton, Manager of Information Technology, explaining a return on investment (ROI) analysis conducted earlier this year. Intensive staffing, VAN fees, and the ongoing maintenance of costly point-to-point connections with business partners have historically been major expenses for vendors wishing to do business with the automotive giants.
Among the alternatives evaluated, Shelton names Transaction Connect as "the best solution" not only on a cost basis, but also because of such factors as a shortened trading partner implementation/testing cycle, simultaneous 24/7 linkage to multiple trading partners and Value Added Networks, and a sophisticated Automotive Network Exchange (ANX) connection. ECbridges will enable Milwaukee Wire to realize a strong ROI stemming from increased efficiency, margins, and customer satisfaction.
