New York, USA - 13 October, 2001 (PRN): Uncle Sam's Army Navy Outfitters located @ 37 West 8th Street in the Village (5th & 6th) is continuing to donate an enormous amount of military and related supplies to the New York City rescue and recovery workers.
A Major General of the US Army and Captain Lopez from the rescue squad will be coming down to Uncle Sam's Tuesday, 10/16 @ 5:00 p.m. to supervise the donation operation. Richard Geist, the Vice President of Uncle Sam's will be donating large quantities of military cots, boots, 1200 knee pads, coveralls, socks, gas & face masks, gloves and chemical suits.
This is a special day for the staff at Uncle Sam's, it gives them a chance to say "Thank you" to the city of New York for their endless efforts. "It is an honor, to have the opportunity to give back to the community", said Mr. Geist. Captain Lopez and his staff will be transporting the merchandise to Ground Zero with two large army vehicles. Also as a special service, Uncle Sam's is providing free survival workshops given by military personnel. We encourage everyone to stop by to obtain factual information that, not only may ease anxieties, but give life saving techniques.
