Australian Company Launches New Version of Internal Communications Software
Australia - Aug 5, 2004 (PRN):
Leong Software, an Australian-based software development company, today launched the latest version of its internal communications software, ePoster.
"ePoster 3 now makes it even easier for the organisations to communicate with staff without overloading their email in-boxes" said the software developer, Hou Leong.
"In earlier versions of ePoster, all posters had to be in HTML format. Now ePoster supports all web formats, Flash files, Word documents, PowerPoint slideshows, and standard picture and movie formats. It also includes an inbuilt webpage creator."
ePoster enables companies to communicate with staff by displaying a dynamic slideshow of corporate "posters" on their screensavers. This turns previously unproductive time into an efficient and effective way to inform, train, assist and motivate staff.
Each poster has a start date, finish date and display time, and can be assigned to a particular channel. Staff can customise ePoster so that it only shows information which is relevant to them, and view it through the passive screensaver mode or an interactive browser mode.
"The power of ePoster comes from its ability to repeat messages. This leads to much better information retention, without annoying and overloading staff," said Mr Leong.
ePoster integrates directly with other IT infrastructure, particularly intranets. ePoster clients use it for a range of purposes, such as "all staff:" or targeted group messaging, long-term campaigns, knowledge management and intranet promotion.
"Our clients find that ePoster lets many different areas of their organisations reach their internal audiences much more effectively than previous methods such as email, brochures, posters etc. And from the organisation's perspective, it saves time and money and reduces staff stress."
ePoster incorporates emergency messaging, which lets nominated users send all staff "live" information on a current situation, combined with reference information from the intranet, quickly and simply. These Alerts pop up automatically so that staff see them straight away. In an emergency this lets the organisation ensure, for example, that staff review the evacuation procedures while an alarm is being investigated.
ePoster is distributed through the internet, and by agents in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada. Clients include a government agency, a local government shire council, an international insurance company, and a public housing management firm.
